Research - interviews regarding polypharmacy in patients with ashthma

My name is Maram Zahraa and I am a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. My current research interests lie in understanding and managing polypharmacy in asthma patients. I am in the process of conducting interviews regarding polypharmacy and medication reviews in patients with asthma from a healthcare professional perspective.

I am looking for any practicing GPs, asthma specialists, nurses and pharmacists who work with asthma patients regularly and have encountered polypharmacy in any capacity while working.  The interview should take no longer than 45 minutes and includes a series of open-ended questions asking about asthma patients, prescribing and how polypharmacy is dealt with.  The survey will add to key research in the area and the data will, possibly, be published to help improve managing polypharmacy and medication reviews - particularly important in the current times! I am more than happy to share the finished work with you once it is finished.

The study has been approved by the Ethics Committee at the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like further information prior to taking part, please contact me at
