We’ve attracted a glittering array of speakers including colleagues from Denmark, Manchester, and London. All members of the multidisciplinary Respiratory team are welcome and please remember to bring your students!

TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • Exercise and medicine How to make our patients love Lycra? (Dr Andrew Murray who is a Consultant in Sports & Education Medicine, Scottish Government Sports Champion and has run 7 ultramarathons in 7 days.)
  • How best to manage fungal lung disease and complications such as haemoptysis? A surgeon and physician’s perspective. (The Manchester Fungal Group).
  • Facing the challenge of sustainability in medicine? Dr Ulla Weinreich, Aalborg University Hospital, Denmark.
  • COPD interactive MDT: how do we manage COPD patients safely out of hospital? (Dr Chris Carlin & colleagues, Glasgow)
  • Research, quality improvement and educational presentations (oral, poster) including the prestigious Methven prize and several other cash prizes.

Call for Abstracts:

Research, quality improvement and educational abstracts are welcome for both oral and digital poster presentations. Please submit your abstract (250 words with one table or figure) to stsadmin@rcpe.ac.uk by 31st March 5pm.*

*Please note: For those who had submitted for the trainee symposium 2022, your abstracts will automatically be added to the list for marking. If you no longer wish to present / abstract presented elsewhere, please let us know.
